The
Unified
Transition Theory™ by

“Revealing
the underlying structure of change”
The Unified Transition Theory proposes the human potential
for change can be represented by a fractal object of
33 parts."
Murray Gell-Mann wrote about the power
of theory, stating, “All around us are facts
that are related to one another. Of course they can
be regarded as separate entities and learned that way.
But what a difference it makes when we see them as part
of a pattern! Many facts then become more that just
items to be memorized – their relationship permits
us to use a compressed description, a kind of theory,
a schema, to apprehend and remember them. They begin
to make some sense. The world becomes a more comprehensible
place.”
'The Unified Transition Theory' allows you to see facts
about change as part of a pattern in the form of the
charts. The volume of available data on the human potential
change is large. All this information can be compressed
into the pattern made by a fractal object of 33 parts.
For any theory to work it must be able to unfold and
re-expand to account for a specific situation. The unfolding
of the ‘Unified Transition Theory ‘happens
when people use the charts for a specific transition.
Every specific change in human potential must be able
to be unfolded out of the fractal object and compressed
back in. So far this is the case. This concept of “so
far this is the case” is another important part
of a theory. A theory must be able to be to be proved
false by experiment and testing. All changes in human
potential can be tested to see if they can be compressed
into the fractal pattern and unfolded again to the specific
change.
A theory must also be able to predict the future to
some extent. A fractal object with 33 parts does unfold
into the future in a deterministic manner. It is the
cause and effect relationships between the parts that
makes it unfold in a deterministic way, however because
so many parts have similar structures they can create
the “butterfly effect” or the “elephant
effect.” The fractal nature of the object allows
feedback loops to make the future unpredictable over
time. The ‘Unified Transition Theory Fractal’
can change structure at the speed of light or it can
slowly evolve. The Unified Transition Theory Fractal
is deterministic yet unpredictable. The simple pattern
of this fractal can generate the same level of complexity
found in human potential for change. The fractals ability
to generate this complexity is an imposed ‘limitation’
of the application. The future structure of the fractal
object is, like your own future, deterministic yet unpredictable.
The images created by the charting process are only
pictures of a potential future and are not necessary
images of future events.
In the beginning of what Murray Gell-Mann states about
the power of theory was in the power resulting from
seeing facts as a part of a pattern and thus making
the world a more comprehensible place, It will be up
to you if the Unified Transition Theory makes your world
a more comprehensible place.
